What a cookie is

A small file a site stores in your browser so that something is remembered between one page and the next. The same rules cover the neighbouring technologies — local storage, session storage, tracking pixels — and this page uses “cookie” to mean all of them.

Your consent

Under Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and the GDPR, strictly necessary cookies may be set without asking, while analytics and advertising cookies need your prior, informed agreement. Today this site sets only the first kind, which is why you are not being asked for anything.

What is set today

• Security and delivery. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set a cookie to tell real visitors from automated abuse and to keep the site available. It carries no profile of you.
• Your session, if you sign in. An account is optional. If you create one, the authentication service stores a session token in your browser so you stay signed in; it disappears when you sign out.

Nothing here is shared with an advertising network, and none of it follows you to other sites.

What is not set

There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel from Meta, TikTok or anyone else, and no profiling of what you read. If we add measurement later — and we may, to learn which parts of the directory are useful — you will be asked first, this page will be updated before the first cookie is set, and refusing will change nothing about what you can do here.

Cookies set by the vendors you click through to

When you follow a link to a vendor, you leave this site. That vendor, and sometimes the affiliate network in between, will set its own cookies under its own policy — typically to remember that the visit came from us so a commission can be attributed. Those cookies are outside our control and outside our sight. Their duration and purpose are described in the privacy policy of the site you land on.

How long they last

• Security cookies: from minutes to a few hours, renewed as you browse.
• Session cookie, if you signed in: until you sign out, or until it expires.
• Vendor cookies after a click-through: set by them, commonly 30 to 90 days.

Blocking them yourself

Every browser can block or delete cookies for a given site. Doing it here costs you nothing: the catalogue, the filters and the pages all work the same. The one thing that stops working is staying signed in, because that is precisely what the session cookie does.
