Removing an object or person from a photo without leaving a trace used to be a job for Photoshop experts. Cleanup.pictures reduces it to a single gesture: you brush over the unwanted element and AI reconstructs the background in its place.

Cleanup.pictures is an AI-based image editor that runs in the browser, specialized in removing elements from a photo. It works instantly: you upload the image, brush over what you want to remove — an object, a person, text, a watermark, a date stamp, a defect — and within seconds the element disappears. The underlying technology is called inpainting: instead of cloning nearby portions like old stamp tools did, the AI intelligently reconstructs what was behind the removed element, with no reference background needed. The free version works but limits export to low resolution (720px); the Pro version removes size limits and improves quality. Cleanup.pictures is part of the ClipDrop ecosystem, now owned by Jasper, and is connected to complementary tools such as background removal, upscaling and image generation. An API to integrate the inpainting feature into your own applications is also available.

Cleanup.pictures can be used free for basic removals, with export limited to 720px resolution. The Pro version, which processes images of any size in high resolution, costs $5 per month or around $36 per year (equivalent to $3 per month). A paid API with usage-based pricing is available for developers, while access to ClipDrop's advanced features is offered through the ClipDrop Pro subscription.
