For years Evernote was synonymous with note-taking apps, the digital memory to save everything in. Today, after moving to the company Bending Spoons, it remains a powerful tool for organizing notes, documents and ideas in one place.

Evernote is an application for taking notes and organizing information, available on desktop, web and mobile with cross-device syncing. The basic unit is the note, which can contain formatted text, images, attachments, to-do lists, audio and web page clippings captured with the Web Clipper. Notes are organized into notebooks and labeled with tags, and search is one of the tool's historic strengths: Evernote can search text even inside images and attached PDF documents, making it easy to find anything that has been saved. Around this core feature are tools to create tasks and reminders, templates for recurring notes, an integrable calendar and sharing features to collaborate. Over time the app changed ownership to the Italian company Bending Spoons, which revised its structure and pricing. Multi-device syncing, once free, is now largely reserved for paid plans, and the free plan has become much more limited than in the past.
