The integrated AI assistant can generate text from scratch, respond to emails, summarize documents and rewrite entire paragraphs from a description. Grammarly stands out for the depth of its integration: it's not just a corrector that opens on demand, but an always-present tool that acts as you type. In spring 2026 Grammarly attracted criticism for an Expert Review feature that temporarily associated real writers' names with AI-generated feedback without consent, which was removed after protests.

The Business plan was eliminated and replaced by a custom-priced Enterprise plan for larger organizations. Verified students and educators qualify for a 50% discount. Grammarly renamed the Premium plan to Pro in 2024, maintaining the same pricing.
