Station is an open source desktop application for Windows and macOS that works as a browser dedicated to work apps. Unlike a generic browser where apps open in separate tabs, Station organizes them in the sidebar: each app has its own icon and you can switch between them with a click, keeping sessions active. Unified search lets you find anything — emails, documents, tasks, messages — across all connected apps with a single search field. Notification management is centralized: you decide which apps can send notifications and when, reducing interruptions. Station can also handle multiple accounts for the same app without needing incognito sessions. The project is open source on GitHub and maintained by the community. The getstation.com site is sometimes unstable since the original company is no longer commercially active, but the software continues to receive community contributions.
