Overview

Glide turns the data you already have — a Google Sheet, an Airtable table, a database — into a working app without writing code. Its strength is speed: a working prototype can be built in minutes, not weeks.

How does Glide work?

Glide is a no-code platform that generates mobile and web applications from existing data sources. It starts by connecting to a source — Google Sheets, Airtable, Excel, BigQuery or Glide's own internal database — and Glide automatically builds a first app structure based on the columns and data present. From there, a visual editor lets you select the layout and components to show for each screen: lists, detail cards, forms, charts, maps, chat, calendars. No code needs to be written for the vast majority of features, although you can add logic with spreadsheet formulas or Glide's Computed Columns. The resulting apps are mobile-optimized progressive web apps, shareable via link or installable as an app on the device. More advanced features include automation flows, integrations with external tools via webhooks and APIs, and AI components for text and image generation. Glide is particularly valued for quickly building internal business tools, data management apps for teams and small vertical applications.

Who is it for?

For operations managers, non-technical teams and small businesses who want to create internal tools, data management apps or small vertical applications starting from data they already have, without developers.

How much does it cost?

Glide has a free plan that lets you build and share apps with limited features and visible Glide branding. Paid plans start at $49 per month (Starter) and scale with the number of users, data rows, integrations and advanced features. Higher plans (Business, Enterprise) add unlimited space, more integrations and dedicated support. Compared to other no-code builders, Glide sits in the mid-to-high price range for professional plans.
